Due to adverse weather, classes of all AM schools and whole-day schools are suspended today. Schools should implement contingency plans and arrange staff to look after students who might arrive and ensure that conditions are safe before allowing students to return home. If the Hong Kong Observatory issues the Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal or cancels all Rainstorm Warning Signals at or before 10:30 am, classes of PM schools will proceed as usual today unless advised otherwise. For the foregoing purposes, the delegated authority of the Permanent Secretary for Education has given a written permission under section 83(6)(a)(ii) of the Education Ordinance (Cap. 279) to those school staff and students who need to enter or remain in the school premises during the period of suspension due to operational need or safety reason.
